To start using HyWorks to deliver virtual applications and desktops, you will need to understand and plan to install and enable server—and client-side components, install third-party software to meet prerequisites, and finally configure the session delivery mechanism.

Determining the required capacity for implementing HyWorks is crucial to achieving performance and smoothly running VDI systems. Planning a deployment with scale in mind is the first step, and the typical approach is to estimate the concurrent user load on servers.

Decide on Authentication mode. If you decide not to use built-in authentication mode, ensure Active Directory or LDAP is installed.
