Pre-requisites
-
The supported version of VMware/ vCenter Server is installed. Port 443 is used to connect to VMware servers.
-
A user account with the required privileges for VMware servers is created. The user must have permission to read all VM information, create and delete resource pools and virtual machines, and create snapshots.
!!! important
If the configured user lacks sufficient privileges, retrieving desktop details, power operations, and provisioning may fail.
Install VMware Tools
Install VMware tools on the VMs that will be delivered as dedicated desktops to manage the VMware vCenter-based resources.
To configure VMWare management tools on a Linux VM, follow the steps in Linux VDI on VMWare vCenter.
