Multi-Organization Structure License

HyWorks supports license allocations for a multi-organizational structure. License allocations enable the Administrator to distribute licenses to multiple organizations as well as restrict license usage in specific organizations.

Licenses can be reserved for an organization in such a way that these licenses can be used only by this organization. It is possible to use licenses from the shared license pool across all organizations in the system. The maximum limit on usage from the shared pool can be set at each level of the organization.

Parent (default) Organization License Distribution

System level license details will always be visible at the Default organization, and as the default level is also considered an organization, its license usage will also be shown.

At the default organization level, the following licensing information is available:

System Level (License usage)

Total Licenses Installed: Displays the total number of licenses installed on the HyWorks Controller.

Total Reserved: Displays the total number of licenses reserved by all organizations.

Shared License Pool: Displays the total number of licenses that are available as a shared pool and can be used at any organizational level.

Total Usage: Displays the total number of licenses used by all the organizations.

Reserved Usage: Displays the total number of licenses used from the reserved pool across all the organizations.

Shared License Pool Usage: Displays the total number of licenses used from the shared license pools across all the organizations.

Current Organization (Organization Name)

Licenses Available: Displays the total number of licenses available for this organization.

Reserved: Displays the total number of licenses reserved for this organization.

Shared License Pool: Displays the total number of licenses available from the shared pool.

Total Usage: Displays the total number of licenses used by this organization.

Reserved Usage: Displays the total number of licenses used from the reserved pool.

Shared License Pool Usage: Displays the total number of licenses used from the shared license pool.

License Allocation for an Organization

Reserved License count: Specify the number of licenses to be reserved for this organization.

Use Shared license pool: If this option is enabled, this organization can use the shared license pool of the Controller.

Unlimited shared license pool usage: If selected, the organization can use any number of licenses from the shared pool. Uncheck this option to set a limit on the shared license pool usage for this organization.

Set shared license pool usage limit: Set the maximum number for the shared license usage by this organization from the shared license pool, if available.

Note

1. Upon license activation, all the licenses will be allocated to the parent organization.
2. On creating a new organization, the default allocation of the reserved licenses for this organization is zero, use of the shared license pool will be checked and unlimited usage of the shared license pool will also be checked.
3. On deleting the organization, the reserved and used shared licenses will be allocated back to the default organization.
