Overview of Application Delivery in HyWorks

Virtual application delivery to the end-user provides benefits like lower resource usage, enhanced security, better control on environment and better user experience. HyWorks, in its core offerings, supports the delivery of virtual applications to end-users from Linux and Windows multi-session (session host) servers.

In HyWorks, virtual application delivery can be ensured in the following ways:

  1. Remote App mode (Seamless access mode)

  2. Shell mode with a single virtual app in one remote session

  3. Shell mode with multiple virtual apps in one remote session (Supported version: HyWorks v3.4-SP1-HF6 or later)

The first two modes, i.e., Remote App mode and Shell mode with single virtual app, are traditional delivery modes, and all the details are provided in this section.

Shell mode with multiple virtual apps in a single remote session, the new method of delivery, has been introduced in HyWorks v3.4-SP1-HF6 release, and the details can be found here.
