Overview

The core purpose of deploying HyWorks is to enable the delivery of virtual desktops or virtual applications to the end-users. This section of the document will provide details on the following topics:

  1. Session Provider (Connectors) Management: For both desktop and virtual application deliveries, either virtual or physical single-session or multi-session desktops are required. These desktops can be provisioned and managed on hypervisors or cloud services. HyWorks integrates with these providers and allows users to manage (add, update, or delete) them through the HyWorks Controller Management Console. This section provides information on managing these providers.

  2. Personal (Single-session) Desktop Delivery: In this delivery mode, only one user will have access to a single desktop at a time, providing a personalized desktop experience. This section of the document will provide details of single-session desktop delivery to end-users with one-to-one mapping.

  3. Shared (multi-session) Desktop and Virtual Application Delivery: Windows and Linux servers can be configured to provide sessions to multiple users from a single desktop. This is referred to as multi-session or shared desktops. These multi-session enabled desktops can be used to deliver full desktop or virtual applications to end-users. This section will try to provide information on this aspect.

<!--> The term Session Providers refers to the servers that can provide remote sessions to end users. Based on the types of desktops being served by servers, they can be categorized as follows:
