License Activation on HyWorks Controller

To apply for a license on the HyWorks Controller, there are two methods available:

  1. Online Activation: Online activation requires an internet connection configured on the HyWorks Controller. This enables the controller to directly communicate with the license server to activate the license.

  2. Offline Activation: This method is applicable when the HyWorks Controller is not configured with an internet connection and cannot connect to the license server.

Online License Activation on the HyWorks Controller

Prerequisites

  1. The HyWorks Controller must be connected to the internet.
  2. Appropriate serial keys and user credentials are available (contact the Accops Support team to obtain the required information).

Steps

  1. Navigate to Settings > System > Licensing.

  2. Click the Show New License Activation.

  3. In the License Activation section:

    1. Enter the credentials.

    2. Enter the Serial Key.

  4. Click Activate License Online.

The license should be activated successfully. The Dashboard in Monitor > Dashboard and the License Server in the Settings > System > Licensing section will reflect the new license details.

Offline License Activation on the HyWorks Controller

Prerequisites

  1. Appropriate serial keys and user credentials (contact the Accops Support team to obtain the required information).

  2. Access the HyWorks Controller Management Console using a machine that has an active internet connection.

Steps

  1. Access the HyWorks Controller Management Console from a machine that has an active internet connection, and a browser to connect to the controller management console and License Server.

  2. Navigate to Settings > System > Licensing.

  3. Click the Show New License Activation option.

  4. In the License Activation section:

    1. Enter credentials.

    2. Provide appropriate license Serial Key.

  5. Click the Generate Offline Activation Data option. The HyWorks Controller generates offline activation data and displays it under the License Activation section.

  6. Click the Click here to copy Offline Activation Data to the clipboard and go to the License Server link to automatically copy the offline activation data to the clipboard and go to the license server.

Note

  • The Pop-up blocker from your browser may block the navigation to the License Server.

  1. Log in to the License Server user portal with the same user credentials that were used to generate the offline activation data.

  2. Navigate to the Offline Activation section.

  3. Paste the copied offline activation data and click on Activate.

  4. The License Server will validate the data provided by the HyWorks Controller. Upon successful validation, it should navigate the user to the next screen which should display the license details will be displayed.

  5. Click Continue.

  6. Encrypted data of the license should be displayed. Copy the License's Encrypted Data content.

  7. Navigate back to the HyWorks Controller.

  8. Paste the License's Encrypted Data content that was copied in step# 12 in the Encrypted License Details field.

    1. Click on the button Activate License Offline.

  9. The license should now be activated, and an appropriate status message regarding the successful activation should be displayed.

  10. The license should now be activated in the Dashboard in Monitor > Dashboard and License Server in the Settings > System > Licensing section will reflect the new license details.
