Personal Desktop Delivery Model

For HyWorks to deliver dedicated desktops to the end-users, they must be hosted. The servers that host these desktops are known as Hypervisors.

Some popular Hypervisors are provided by VMware, Microsoft, and Nutanix. With the availability of the cloud, Azure/ AWS can also be used to host dedicated desktops.

Each of these hypervisors uses its technology to run operating systems as virtual machines. These virtual machines can then be accessed by the end-users.

HyWorks can connect to these hypervisors to fetch/provide virtual machines and assign them to the end-users as well as provide some powerful management capabilities.

HyWorks uses the below model to deliver desktops to end-users:

As per the above model, to deliver desktops to the end-users, the Administrator will need to:

  1. Manage Session Providers

  2. Create Desktop Pools (containers that contain dedicated desktops and clients) and manage these desktops and entitlements.
