Overview
Authentication in HyWorks is a process of validating credentials provided against a configured authentication server like the Microsoft Active Directory, Novell e-Directory Server, LDAP based directory server or HyWorks built-in directory.
Authorization in HyWorks is a process of getting entitlements for user, that can be directly assigned to the user or can be assigned to the groups or OU, to which the user is a member of.
Whenever administrators or end-users logs in to the HyWorks from device endpoint, they gets authenticated with the configured authentication server.
Authorization and Authentication servers can be same however the decision can be taken based on the deployment use cases.

Authentication servers are added and managed from HyWorks Management Console from Settings > Configure > Authentication.

Configure a server as authentication or authorization server from HyWorks Management Console from Settings > Configure > Organizations.
