SRMS in Maintenance Mode

Reinstall

Re-running the same setup of HyWorks SRMS can be used to reinstall the SRMS.

Reinstallation can be performed for the following purposes:

  • Reconfiguring the Message Queue configuration(s) (e.g., Consumer Hostnames, Port, SSL Configuration, Username, Password)

  • HyWorks Deployment Mode

  • Recording Storage Path

  • Auto Cleanup Configurations of Recordings

  • Directory Installation

Steps to reinstall Accops HyWorks VM Scale Booster:

  1. Navigate to the directory where the Accops HyWorks SRMS is downloaded.

  2. Double-click on the setup file to invoke the installer.

  3. Click Next on the Welcome screen.

  4. Click I Agree on the License Agreement screen to proceed.

  5. Click Next on the Choose Components screen.

  6. Select the appropriate HyWorks Deployment Mode and click on Next to proceed.

  7. On the MQ Configuration screen, enter the following details:

    1. Hostname: Enter the Host address of the message queue.

    2. Port: Enter the message queue port. The default port is 5672 for non-SSL and 5671 for SSL.

    3. Enable SSL: Select this checkbox if the message queue is configured to communicate over SSL.

    4. Username: Enter the username that is to be used to communicate with a message queue.

    5. Password: Enter the Password for the configured user to access the message queue.

  8. Auto Clean screen configuration:

    1. Configure auto clean settings (e.g., Enable or not, Delete recordings older than and how frequently to check for old recordings).

    2. Click Next to proceed.

  9. On the Installation Path screen, change the installation directory if needed and click Next to proceed.

  10. On the Recordings Storage Path, provide a new location to store the recordings if needed and click Install.

  11. The installation will be finished using updated configurations.

  12. Click Finish to close the setup.

  13. Verification of new configurations can be done by checking the following configuration files: Examples are given using the default location.

    1. C:\Program Files (x86)\Accops\HyWorks\SessionRecordingManager\SessionRecordingManager\appsettings.json: Check the controller and message queue information here.

    2. C:\Program Files (x86)\Accops\HyWorks\SessionRecordingManager\SessionRecordingAggregator\appsettings.json: Check the controller and message queue information here.

    3. C:\Program Files (x86)\Accops\HyWorks\SessionRecordingManager\SessionRecordingAutoClean\appsettings.json: Check the controller, message queue, and auto-clean configurations here.

Upgrade

Running the setup of a newer version of HyWorks SRMS can be used to upgrade the setup. The steps are going to be the same as mentioned in the Reinstallation section.

Uninstall

To uninstall SRMS, follow the below steps:

  1. Navigate to Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Programs and Features.

  2. Select Accops HyWorks SRMS (Session Recording Management Server) from the installed program list and click on Uninstall/Change.

  3. Accops HyWorks SRMS (Session Recording Management Server) Uninstall wizard will be opened with installation directory information.

  4. Click on Uninstall to proceed.

  5. Click Finish to close the uninstall wizard.

    Uninstallation is completed, and all configurations, files, and services will be removed.
