Local Groups
The Local Groups subsection under the User Store can be used to manage built-in user groups.
The following management operations are available:
Add Group
To create a new user group, follow the steps listed below:

Navigate to the Users > User Store > Local Groups section.

Click on the Add button.

Enter the following details in the Add Group section:

On the Groups Details screen:

Name: Logical name for the new group.
-
Description: Optional description of the new group.
-
Active: De-select the checkbox to de-activate the user group and group-based entitlements will not work for inactive groups.

Click on the Next button.
-
On the Assign Users screen,
- Click on the Add Users button to search and select the intended users in this group.

Added users can be removed by selecting and clicking on the Remove Users button.

Click on the Save button to save the group.

The Groups section should start showing the newly created group.
Edit Group
An existing group can be edited to update its description, change its active state, or modify user assignments. To modify an existing group:

Navigate to the Users > User Store > Local Groups section.

Select the intended user group from the displayed list.

Click on the Edit button.
-
The Edit Group wizard should be launched.

Update the required modifiable field and click on the Save button.

Group information should be updated.
Delete Group
Using the same process as the one specified above, user groups can also be deleted. Follow the steps listed below to delete a user group from HyWorks:

Navigate to the Users > User Store > Local Groups section.

Select the intended user group from the displayed list.

Click on the Delete button.

The Confirm Action dialog will be displayed, click on the Delete button to continue deleting the user group.

The group will be deleted and will not be displayed in the User Management -- Groups section.
Impact of Group Deletion

Deleting a user group does not delete the group from entitlements or Desktop Pools.
-
Running sessions will not be affected.
-
Users belonging to the deleted group will not be able to get assigned applications or desktops.
