RADIUS Server Integration

HySecure supports authenticating users from an external RADIUS Server. In order to achieve that, a RADIUS Server needs to be integrated. On integrating the server and configuring HySecure appropriately, any user trying to connect to the HySecure Gateway will attempt to authenticate through the Configured Server.

In order to achieve RADIUS integration, following information is needed

  1. RADIUS Server IP Address / Hostname and the port on which the server is running

  2. Shared secret of RADIUS server's admin, which gets used while connecting to the server while trying to authenticate the user

  3. Other miscellaneous information

RADIUS Server Integration Workflow

Following are the high level steps to integrate an Active Directory Server for authenticating users.

  1. Add a "RADIUS" type of Authentication Server needs to be added and all relevant information need to be configured.

  2. Select the configured RADIUS server as an "Authentication Server" while creating an Authentication Domain

  3. Assign the Authentication Domain to a HySecure Domain

On following the above steps, any users connecting to the configured HySecure Domain will get authenticated by the integrated RADIUS server.
