Getting Hysecure Clients

Client Download

When a user visits the HySecure portal, the Client is automatically downloaded and installed on the user's machine. The Client can also be downloaded manually using the following methods:

  1. Downloading from HTTP link
    Go to http://hysecure/gateway/hostname/ and download it from the page
  2. Downloading from HTTPS link
    Go to https://hysecure/gateway/hostname/ (NOTICE the HTTPS link)
  3. Download from the Accops Website
    You can go to the Accops website and download the latest version there http://www.accops.com/download-software/

    For the latest Linux and MAC OSX, watch out for upgrades from the Accops website

Client Installation

In case of the full Client, local machine Administrator rights will be needed. If it is a non-admin Client, the Administrator rights are not required. Click the HySecure Client setup to open the Installation Wizard and click Install to start the installation process. After installation is complete, click the HySecure desktop shortcut to run the client.

Note

If you do not see the screen shown below, the anti-virus on the local machine might be blocking the installation. Please disable the anti-virus or add the HySecure Client installer to the exception list.


Client Login

Login as a Security Officer

  1. Choose the option to Login with SSL certificate. The Security Officer certificate associated with your HySecure Server should automatically be shown in the certificate field.
  2. Type the password for the Security Officer Account and click on the "Sign in" button. The landing page presented to the user depends on the logon method.

The HySecure Desktop Client can be launched using the Accops HySecure Client icon on the user's desktop or Start menu. Choose the option for Certificate User, if the user is logging in as a Security Officer, Administrator or High Security User.

Once authenticated, the user will be presented with the Application List, which shows all the Web Applications published to the user. If the user has logged in through a Security Officer or Administrator account, they can can click on the VPN Management Console link to continue setting up the HySecure server.

With both of these logon methods, a HySecure icon is placed in the system tray providing access to the extra Client options.

Log in as a User

Click on the Accops HySecure desktop shortcut and enter the following information:

  1. HySecure server host name or IP address.

  2. Enter the Username

  3. Enter the Password and click the "Log in" button.

If the entered Username and Password are valid, then the OTP verification window will pop up.

Here the user needs to select the token type and click the "Get OTP" button to generate the OTP.

Once the OTP is delivered to the user's email address/mobile number, an acknowledgement message will pop up.

The user must now enter the OTP that was sent to them and click the "Verify" button to log in to the HySecure Gateway.
