Internet Block

Introduction

Internet block is a feature which is provided in HySecure Windows client and it blocks the users network access other than network published in the HySecure.

Configuration

An access policy needs to be defined to block the internet. It blocks TCP and UDP traffic which does not match with the HySecure published network.

FAQ

1. Internet block policy is applied but user is able to access Youtube and goolge on the Chrome browser or Firefox browser.

Google Chrome while accessing internet either HTTP 2 or HTTP 2 (QUIC) protocol.

While using HTTP 2 protocol it keeps an connection opened with the goolge gateway open and utilize it to server all the content. It means that a connection if already established with google.com before login to HySecure is been utilized to serve the content.

HTTP 3 or QUIC protocol is a new protocol which uses UDP based access to the network which is faster while serving the content.

Support to block HTTP 3 from HySecure Version 5.2.1.0 is available.

2. How can already established connections be blocked ?

For this already feature of closing the external connections were available in the HySecure Client which can be configured from gateway. "Close existing connections" and "Continue to block all external connection other than VPN". Please enable this two options from the gateway.
