Linux-based Session Delivery

HyWorks v3.3 supports following types of Linux based virtual desktops and applications:

  1. Virtual Applications from Linux Session Host Servers. Click to check supported versions.

  2. Linux Shared Hosted Desktops. Click to check supported versions.

  3. Linux Dedicated Virtual Desktops. Click to check supported versions.

Deliver Linux Personal Virtual Desktops

Follow the below given steps to deliver personal virtual desktops:

  1. Prepare Virtualization platform VMWare ESXi/vCenter, Microsoft Hyper-V/SCVMM or Nutanix Prism Element / Central.

  2. Create Linux Gold Master Desktop VM

    1. CentOS as personal virtual desktop
    2. Ubuntu as personal virtual desktop
  3. Perform Basic HyWorks configuration

  4. Configure HyWorks for Dedicated Desktop Delivery

Deliver Linux SHD and Applications

  1. Prepare Linux Session host server

    1. Install supported Linux server as virtual machine or on physical hardware

    2. Configure machine into domain or workgroup as per your requirement

    3. Install and configure HyWorks dependency packages and VDI tools on Linux server Configure Linux Session Host Server .

  2. Perform Basic HyWorks Configuration

  3. Configure HyWorks for the Pooled Virtual Desktop Delivery and Pooled Virtual Application Delivery
