Multi-Organization Structure License

HyWorks supports license allocations for a multi-organizational structure. License allocations enable the Administrator to distribute licenses to multiple organizations as well as restrict license usage in specific organizations.

Licenses can be reserved for an organization such that these number of licenses will be used by only this organization. It is possible to use the licenses from the shared license pool across all organizations in the system. Maximum limit on usage from the shared pool can be set at each organization level.

License Distribution shown at the Parent (default) Organization

System level license details are always shown at Default organization, and as default level is also an organization, its own license usage is also shown. At default organization level, following licensing information is available:

System Level (License usage)

Total Licenses Installed: The total number of licenses installed on the HyWorks Controller

Total Reserved: Total number of licenses reserved by all organizations

Shared License Pool: The total number of licenses that are available as a shared pool and can be used at any organizational level

Total Usage: The total number of licenses used by all the organizations

Reserved Usage: The total number of licenses used from the reserved pool across all the organizations

Shared License Pool Usage: The total number of licenses used from the shared license pools across all the organizations

Current Organization (Organization Name)

Licenses Available: The total number of licenses available for this organization.

Reserved: The total number of licenses reserved for this organization

Shared License Pool: Total number of licenses available from shared pool

Total Usage: The total number of licenses used by this organization

Reserved Usage: The total number of licenses used from the reserved pool

Shared License Pool Usage: Total number of licenses used from the shared license pool

License Allocation for an Organization

Reserved License count: Specify the number of licenses to be reserved for this organization

Use Shared license pool: If this option is enabled, this organization can use the shared license pool of the Controller

Unlimited shared license pool usage: If selected, organization can use any number of licenses from shared pool. Uncheck this to set limit on shared license pool usage for this organization

Set shared license pool usage limit: Set maximum number of shared license usage by this organization from shared license pool, if available.

Note

1. Upon license activation, all the licenses will be allocated to the parent organization

1. On creating new organization, default allocation of reserved licenses for this organization is zero, use shared license pool will be checked and unlimited usage of the shared license pool will also be checked.

2. On deleting the organization, reserved and used shared licenses will be allocated back to default organization.
