Default Authentication and Authorization Configuration
After a fresh installation of HyWorks, since no additional authentication server will be configured, HyWorks will use it's in-built directory server to define the authentication domain.
The built-in directory server is a user database of the HyWorks Controller which can be used for authentication and authorization.
This configuration will be saved in the Authentication Domain configuration of the organization details. Details of the organization and respective configurations are covered in the Organization Configurations section.
Whenever users tries to log in to HyWorks, they will be authenticated with the built-in directory server and their authorization will be done from the built-in directory server.
In most cases, organizations have their own AD or LDAP server available and require the same server to be used as the centralized authentication authority. AD or LDAP server can be configured in HyWorks after installation which is explained in the next section.
