Dashboard

Dashboard section is used to display the summary of HyWorks Controller configurations with following details of the currently selected organization:

Sessions Details

Dashboard provides following details about sessions in HyWorks:

  • Total User Sessions Count: Top left section displays User sessions count, suggesting total number of user sessions. Clicking on this section can take you to User Sessions page.

  • Active User Sessions: Shown as Pie chart suggesting active vs idle session counts and the percentage of active sessions against the total number of sessions. The same section also displays the total number of desktop and application instances launched by users.

    • Application Count: Count of total number of application sessions by user.

    • Desktop count: Count of total number of desktop sessions

Endpoints Details

Dashboard provides summarized endpoint details in dashboard using following details:

  • Total Endpoint Count: Total number of endpoints (HyDesk/HyWorks clients) currently connected to HyWorks Controller are displayed as number and other details are given in Active Endpoints pie chart.

  • Registered Users Count: On flip of Endpoint tiles it showing total registered users also. Users which logged in from (HyDesk/HyLite). Registered users count displayed when license Entitlement Type is Named User.

  • Active Endpoints: Pie Chart displaying Active Vs. Idle endpoints and the percentage of active endpoints against the total number of endpoints

    • Count of Offline endpoints

    • Count of Idle endpoints

    • Count of Endpoints with alerts (require attention)

Licenses Details

Following licensing details are available on dashboard:

  • Total number of licenses: Displaying total number of licenses available in organization

  • License Usage Pie Chart: Providing details of used and available license in current organization and the percentage of used license out of total licenses.

    • License Type: Evaluation, Perpetual or Default

    • Number of days to expire

Desktop Details

Following summarized information is available for configured desktops:

  • Count of configured Desktop VMs

  • Desktop VMs Pie Chart: Suggesting powered on vs powered off desktop VMs and the percentage of powered on VMs out of total configured Desktop VMs.

    • Count of powered off VMs

    • Count of suspended VMs

    • Count of VMs with alerts

Controller Details

On top right corner status of controllers are shown as All OK. Other than that following information on controllers can be seen on dashboard:

  • Controller host name

  • Controller Server IP Address

  • Current CPU, RAM, Hard disk Usage

  • Controller Mode (Secondary/ Primary)

  • Status as Reachable or not reachable

Authentication Server

Displaying the status of authentication server with following details:

  • Server address (IP or hostname as configured) of Authentication server

  • Type of authentication server: Primary or secondary

  • Reachability of Authentication server

  • Is Active: Yes/ No

Assigned Apps

This section provides following details:

  • Pie Chart: Displaying assigned and unassigned applications and percentage of assigned applications against the total number of applications.

  • Count of Total and Unassigned Applications

Assigned Pools

Displays the following content:

  • Pie Chart: Displaying assigned and unassigned pools and percentage of assigned pools out of total pools.

  • % of pool utilization: Suggesting the % of assignments all pools are having

  • Empty Pool: Showing count of pools not having Desktops

Shared Session Hosts

The section displays information of Shared Session Hosts configured in this organization with following details of each session host:

  • TOTAL ACTIVE: It is total count of Shared Session Hosts which is Active.

  • OK: Shared Session Hosts should be reachable and it's Monitoring service status and Agent status should be responding.

  • NOT OK: Shared Session Hosts not reachable or Monitoring service status or Agent status not responding. Displaying names of Shared Session Hosts which is NOT OK. On clicking names it redirected to session team page with filtered NOT OK Shared Session Hosts

Dedicated Session Providers

Displaying information of all configured dedicated session providers, with following details displayed for each session provider:

  • Type of session Provider

  • Name, Address, Desktop Count and Reachability of Dedicated session providers.

Advance Configurations

Advance configurations available on HyWorks Controller Management Console - HOST MANAGEMENT Section -> System -> Advance Config

  • Show Device Alert Counts On Dashboard: On Dashboard in Active Endpoints section showing device alert count. It improve dashboard performance.

    • If this setting make it False then not showing device alert count on dashboard and increase dashboard loading performance.
    • If this setting make it True then showing device alert count on dashboard it taking time to load dashboard, impacted on dashboard performance.
    • Default value is True.
    • This setting available into this group Controller

  • Resource Status Monitor Interval: Resource Status Monitoring Interval. This configuration used to monitor following resources.

    • Endpoint status,
    • Authentication/Authorization connection status,
    • Session Provider connection status
    • User Session Timeouts.
    • Default value is 30 seconds and Minimum value 10 seconds.
    • This setting available into this group System

  • Auto Page Refresh Time(in milliseconds): It is used to internal auto update/refresh page. It is applicable to following HyWorks Controller Management Console pages.

    • Dashboard
    • Sessions - User Session, App Session, VDI Session
    • Endpoints
    • Desktop VMs
    • Desktop Pool
    • Authentication

    • Session Providers

    • By-default auto page refresh time is 60000 milliseconds i.e. 60 seconds.
