License Activation on HyWorks Controller

There are two methods to apply license on the HyWorks Controller:

  1. Online Activation: Online activation requires an internet connection configured on the HyWorks Controller so that the Controller can directly communicate with the license Server to activate the license.

  2. Offline Activation: This method can be used when the HyWorks Controller does not have an internet connection configured and the Controller cannot connect to the license Server.

Online License Activation on HyWorks Controller

Prerequisites

Pre-Requisites

2.  Appropriate serial keys and user credentials are available (Contact the
Accops Support team for getting the required information)

Steps

  1. Go to Host Management > System > License.

  2. Click Show New License Activation

  3. In the License Activation

    1. Enter credentials

    2. Enter Serial Key

  4. Click Activate License Online

The license should be activated successfully. The Dashboard and License Server sections in the Setup will reflect the new license details.

Offline License Activation on the HyWorks Controller

Pre-requisites

  1. Appropriate serial keys and user credentials are available (Contact Accops Support team for getting all required information)

  2. Access HyWorks Controller Management Console from machine where internet connection is available

Steps

  1. Access HyWorks Controller Management Console from the system, where internet connection is available, having a browser to connect to License Server

  2. Access HyWorks Controller Management Console from a machine where internet connection is available.

  3. Go to Host Management > System > License.

  4. Click Show New License Activation

  5. In the License Activation

    1. Enter credentials

  6. Click on link Click here to copy Offline Activation Data to clipboard and go to License Server to automatically copy the offline activation data to clipboard and go to license server

  7. Click Generate Offline Activation Data. The HyWorks Controller generates offline activation data and displays under the License Management.

  8. Click Click here to copy Offline Activation Data to the clipboard and go to the License Server link to automatically copy the offline activation data to the clipboard and go to license server.

    Note

    The Pop-up blocker from your browser may block navigation to the License Server.

  9. Log in to the License Server user portal with the same user credentials that you used to generate the offline activation data.

  10. License server will validate the data, provided by HyWorks Controller and on successful validation, it will navigate the user to next screen which displays the license details as shown below

    1. Click Activate.

    2. The License Server will validate the data being provided by the HyWorks Controller and upon successful validation,will navigate the user to the next screen where the license details will be displayed.

    3. Click Continue.

    4. Encrypted data of the license will be displayed. Copy the License's Encrypted Data content.

  11. Navigate back to the HyWorks Controller.

  12. Paste the License's Encrypted Data content that you copied in step 7.5 in the Encrypted License Details field.

  13. License will be activated, and appropriate status message regarding successful activation will be displayed

  14. The license will be activated the Dashboard and License Server sections in the Setup tab will reflect the new license details.
