Deployment Planning

Accops HySecure would typically get deployed on the edge of the network. Users should connect to Hysecure before they can access any allowed organizational resource.

However, HySecure can be deployed either in the DMZ or on the edge of the LAN, which is typically secured with a firewall.

HySecure always gets deployed in a cluster. The number of nodes in the cluster can vary from 1 to 12 depending on the need.

As part of the deployment planning, the following needs to be decided:

  1. Number of HySecure nodes required for serving the users. This can be derived from the Sizing information.
  2. Decide IP subnet in case of multiples nodes. One of the IP address from the subnet will need to be used as a Virtual IP.
  3. Decide on the role of each node, whether it should be a Cluster Manager OR a Gateway node.

Details on the various types of nodes of a cluster are available in the Cluster Overview section.

How cluster works is described in the N-node Cluster section.
