Gateway State
Overview
The HySecure Gateway is in any of the following three states:
Bootstrap State
HySecure goes into this state as soon as it is installed. In this state, the Gateway can be configured for its setup or the system setup like Network setup, License setup, and Certificate settings. The first Security Officer is created in this state. This is also referred to as the System Configuration state.
Configuration State
In this state, the HySecure server is in configuration mode. Once the Bootstrap state is complete, the server automatically moves to the Configuration state. In this state, only Security Officers and Administrators have access to the Gateway to perform configuration and maintenance activities or system-wide changes.
Gateway can be changed to Configuration state through the Management console when the Gateway is fully operational.
Run State
In this state, the HySecure Gateway is fully functional. Gateway state needs to be manually changed from Configuration to Run state once the configuration is complete. Users can log in to the Gateway and access the applications published for them only when the Gateway is in the Run state.
Change the HySecure Gateway State
- Log on to the Management Console.

Go to Settings > Services Config > Gateway State.

The page displays the current state of the Gateway. Toggle the state from Configuration State to the Run State or vice-versa. It may take a few seconds to change the state. A success message will be displayed.
