Installation on VMWare
This document will guide you through installing the HySecure Gateway on VMware’s vSphere hypervisor.
Prerequisites
- Download the latest version of HySecure Gateway ISO from the Product Software page.
- Download and install the latest version of vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi).
- Access rights for vSphere.
- Role: Admin
- The minimum hardware requirement for HySecure Gateway is:
- HDD - 50 GB
- RAM - 4 GB
- Virtual Processors - 4
Steps to install HySecure Gateway on vSphere
- Log into vSphere Client, and navigate to the appropriate Resource Group.
- Select Create a new virtual machine option in the New Virtual Machine creation wizard.
- Navigate to Select a name and folder option and provide an appropriate VM name and location.
- Navigate to Select a compute resource and select the desired compute resource group that provides processing power, memory, networking, storage, and other resources.
- Navigate to the Select storage option and select the desired storage.
- Navigate to Select compatibility and select the latest version of ESXi.
- Navigate to Select a guest OS and select the operating system as CentOS 7 64-bit.
- The administrator can configure the hardware settings in the next step - Customize hardware. The recommended values for the VM to use are four (4) virtual CPUs, 4 GB of RAM, and a 50 GB hard disk.
- In the same step, select the ISO file for the installation by configuring the new CD/DVD drive to locate the already downloaded ISO.
- Click Next, to verify the configuration, then click Finish to complete the creation of HySecure Gateway on your vSphere VM.
