License Status

Steps to view the details of the license applied on the Gateway:

  1. Log on to the Management console.
  2. Go to Settings > General Settings > License Management.
  3. This page offers a brief overview of the current licensing details for the HySecure gateway.

Field Status
License Feature Describes the type of license installed. Generally, it is Concurrent Users but can list, add-on licenses such as Cluster and Endpoint Security.
License Type Lists whether evaluation or production.
Status Displays the number of concurrent users allowed by the license.
Expiry Date Displays the date and time on which the license will expire.

Important

  1. The HySecure cluster uses a single license applied on the Primary HySecure Cluster Manager node.
  2. The Primary Cluster Manager node shares the same license with all other nodes in the cluster.
  3. When the Primary Cluster Manager node is not available, the Secondary Cluster Manager provides the license information to the other nodes in the cluster.

To obtain and activate the license, click on the Get New License button. The license can be activated and applied either online or offline.

Register Gateway with License Server

The first step in activating the license is to register the Serial key that you have received from Accops Reseller. If the Serial key is already registered then you will have the credentials of the registered user on Accops License Server along with the Serial key.

Steps to register the Serial key with the Accops License Server:

  1. Log on to the Management Console.
  2. Go to Settings > General Settings > License Management and click Get New License.

  3. Click Not Registered Yet ? and provide the required information like Serial number, Organization details and the credentials you want to register with.

  4. Click Register.

Online License Activation

The HySecure server must have access to the Internet to register the Serial key with the online Accops License Server. Select Apply License(Offline) in case it does not have access to the Internet.

  1. Log on to the Management Console.
  2. Navigate to Settings > General Settings > License Management and click Get New License.
  3. Provide the required information and click Apply License.

The HySecure server will contact the online Accops License Server and retrieve the license details after user authentication. Upon success, the license will be applied to the HySecure server and details will be uploaded to the Management console.

Offline License Activation

Offline Activation is usually done when the HySecure server is not connected to the Internet or has access to the Internet via a Proxy server.

Prerequisites

  • Gateway is Registered with Accops License Server and the Serial key along with login credentials to the Accops License Server are available.

Steps

  1. Log on to the Management Console.
  2. Navigate to Settings > General Settings > License Management and click Get New License.
  3. Provide the required information and click Apply License(Offline). An encrypted license request key will be displayed.

  4. Copy the activated data.

  5. Select, Click here to go to License server to open Accops Online License Server. The HySecure administrator's desktop must have Internet access to open the Accops Online License Server.

  6. Log on to the Accops License Server.

  7. Go to Offline Activation.

  8. Paste the encrypted license request data from the HySecure management.

  9. Click Activate.

  10. An encrypted license key is generated. Copy this encrypted license key.

  11. Paste the encrypted license key data into the HySecure Management console.

  12. Click Apply License to apply the license on the server.

This completes the Offline License Activation process.
