Features and Enhancements in HyWorks v3.4-SP1 Hotfix4 Release
This release notes section outlines the latest features and enhancements introduced in the HyWorks v3.4-SP1-Hotfix4 release.
HyWorks Enhancements and Features
Deployment Improvisation with VMware: Option to select multiple data-stores
-
In previous releases, only a single datastore and resource pool could be selected, limiting the cloning process to a single datastore.
-
With hotfix4, you can select multiple data-stores when using VMware as a connector and choosing Full Clone as the Clone type.
-
During each clone deployment, the system will intelligently choose the best data-stores from the selected ones, distributing clones across multiple data-stores.
-
Know Problem: With the administrators choosing multiple data-stores but not selecting any resource, HyWorks tries to deploy VMs on the default resource pool and may fail if the user does not have permission at that level.
-
#32503: Username field (In create/ Import Local Users) will support hyphen (-) character
-
Supported characters include: `@ ~ - $ ^ _ { } . SPACE.
-
Unsupported characters include: Any other special character than specified above.
-
Special Cases: The username can not end with a dot (.), can not have leading or trailing spaces, can start or end with a hyphen (-), and can not be empty.
Users with existing sessions in one organization can now switch to another organization. In previous releases, users with existing sessions could not log into a different organization.
-
It is important to know that HyWorks will delete a user's existing session from the previous organization upon registration in the new organization.
-
The feature is controlled using the flag "Allow Organization Ch" in HyWorks Controller Management Console > Settings > General > Advance Settings.
- The default value is "false,” meaning that users cannot switch organizations with existing sessions unless this flag is "true."
Admin user login logs will now include the source IP address from which the management console is being accessed.
Reduced the impact on the database caused by Heartbeat and Registration requests from endpoints by limiting Monitor updates.
-
It has been observed on various setups that Monitor resolution and refresh rates are changing with every heartbeat. This results in a lot of database operation in registration and heartbeat calls.
-
Administrators can now specify platform IDs in comma-separated format under "Management Console > Settings > General > Advance Settings > Restrict monitor update on platforms."
-
HyWorks will ignore these specified platform devices' monitor resolutions and refresh rates.
-
The following platforms are currently included by default: EDCMS01WIN000, EDCMS01WIN100, EDCOS01UBU012, EDCOS64UBU016, EDCA00MAC000. (Platforms used in desktop mode with user-configurable monitor settings).
-
Enhancements in the Management Console
-
Added autocomplete support for relevant filter fields on the SHD page filter.
-
The "Reset Filter" option is included in the Filter Dialog to reset the filter fields on the SHD page.
-
Increased the font size and bolded font for the "Filter" header, enhancing visibility.
