  2. Authentication Server Details: Configured authentication server name, address, reachability, active

  3. HyWorks Controller Server Details: Details of all nodes formatted with controller address, controller Name, controller Mode, controller reachability, controller node type.

Marking Session Host Servers as Active/Inactive using CSV Import

Feature has been added in Server Teams screen to import CSV with session host server details (IP, Name, Hostname) and operations (mark as active or inactive). Based on action, servers mentioned in CSV will be made active or inactive. This feature will help administrators to mark servers as inactive in bulk.

Management Console Improvisations for Smoothening Administration

Below are the details of pages, which have been improvised to provide more information using new or updated columns:

  1. Monitor > User (Sessions): Endpoint client software version of devices.

  2. Application Session: Change column header from IP address to Server IP Address.

  3. Registered Users list and registered user details: Displaying "Last login duration".

  4. Desktop Pools: Session count is being shown.

  5. Session Teams: Renamed to Server Teams.

Default Customization Type for New Desktop Pools to be controlled from Advance Settings

In previous versions, Hyprep was the default customization type and thus if an organization wishes to use Sysprep as customization type, they have to select Sysprep for all pools. To reduce this repeated action and human mistakes, the default customization type control is moved to advanced settings.

  • HyWorks Controller Management Console > Settings > General > Advance Settings > Customization Type

    • Can be set as 0 for no customization, 1 for Sysprep and 2 for Hyprep.

Additionally if desktop pool is using customization type as Sysprep then AD Path/ AD groups fields will be mandatory.

VMs Deployed by HyWorks Not to be Shown in "Source VM" Prompt

Usually VMs deployed by HyWorks in deployment are not used as source VM but having them listed in "Source VM" prompt makes the list long and source identification difficult and thus Desktop Pool Add/Edit wizard > "Source VM" prompt to to have explicit checkbox to list the VMs deployed by HyWorks. It will be unchecked by default, which means only VMs not deployed via HyWorks will be shown as source VM or gold image.

HyLabs Enhancements and Features

Non-persistent Reservation Creation Support using CSV Import

Earlier it was possible to deploy non-persistent reservations from HyLabs portal only, the feature will now be supported via CSV import as well.

Support for Custom VM Power Settings and Custom Deployment Settings for Reservations through CSV

With HyWorks v3.4-SP1-HF2, reservation CSVs will be having custom VM power settings and custom deployment settings options.
