HyWorks Installation Overview

Objective

The installation section explains how to install various modules of the Accops HyWorks product suite, including the necessary software, detailed installation steps, and troubleshooting.

Installers

All HyWorks modules communicate with the HyWorks Controller, which is the primary control layer.

Install the following services independently or together on a Windows Server using the HyWorks Controller setup:

1. HyWorks Controller Services

   1. HyWorks Licensing Service: The HyWorks Controller setup automatically installs the Accops Licensing Service, which is responsible for managing the licensing.

   2. HyWorks Upgrade Service: The Upgrade Service is required for the automatic upgrade of HyWorks DVM tools.

   3. HyWorks Monitoring Services: The Monitoring Service collects system performance data from the HyWorks Controller server and reports to the HyWorks Controller service. This information is used to display the status of the HyWorks Controller on the dashboard.

2. HyWorks Controller Management Console

   1. Management Console for Administrator.

   2. User Portal for desktops and applications access.

   3. RMS Portal for reservation management.

3. HyWorks Reservation Management Service for HyLabs.

Important for Upgrade

• Accops HyWorks Controller v3.4 cannot be upgraded with any previous sky control versions or HyWorks v2.5 with an embedded database.
