Note
The known issues list is updated with every release. Listed below is the latest summary of issues.
Auto Scaling and Power Management
| Bug ID | Description |
|---|---|
| 65074 | During the capacity plan scale-down of a non-persistent SHD pool, the Action Processor immediately marks one VM as passive and deletes it, bypassing the expected shutdown step. All VMs should complete shutdown before un-provisioning begins. |
| 63977 | Due to a time difference between the VM and the Controller, VMs may be incorrectly triggered for a power cycle. Time zones may differ across nodes, but the system time must be correctly synchronized. |
Personal Desktop Delivery and Windows DVM Tools
| Bug ID | Description |
|---|---|
| 68287 | Non-persistent VMs may require periodic resets of the domain trust relationship once the machine restore point age exceeds the trust password duration. Workaround: Periodic recompose is recommended. |
| 68247 | Assigning only a network-ready configuration does not work with master pool-managed desktop pools. VM assignment continues to follow the existing allocation strategy. |
| 68226 | Console sessions for Proxmox VMs display options such as Display Settings, Preferences, and Clipboard, which cannot currently be controlled. |
| 68177 | Console sessions of Proxmox VMs display multiple shortcut options, but only Ctrl + Alt + Delete and Shift + F11 have been verified to work correctly. |
| 68116 | I/O errors occurring on Proxmox VMs are not reflected in HyWorks, and user connections to such VMs may fail. However, HyWorks will display warnings for administrators when actions are performed on such VMs. |
| 67665 | Restored console sessions of Hyper-V VMs do not display a minimize button. |
| 64937 | Disconnect reason codes for personal desktop sessions are available in controller logs only when the session is terminated from the Management Console. Sessions terminated from within the desktop may not have a disconnect reason recorded. |
| 64349 | After a desktop VM is powered off and back on, the DNS Name and IP Address may not appear in the Desktop Details panel, even if they are visible in the grid view. |
| 62339 | Windows Explorer crashes and the desktop becomes inaccessible during an RDP session on Windows 11 25H2 after installing the Windows update KB5067036. Check workaround and permanent fix details here. |
| 61486 | When a VM is removed from the controller but remains on the hypervisor, the VM Scale Booster logs a warning every 10 minutes for each heartbeat event received from that VM. |
| 59917 | DVM tools upgrades applied through the desktop pool option have no lasting effect on non-persistent pools. The VM reverts to its restore point on user logout, restoring the older version. Workaround: Apply DVM tools upgrades to the Gold Master and recompose the pool. |
| 49714 | In a Master Pool with VM Selection Strategy 0 (Stored Procedure), 'Ignore powered on VMs' and 'Ignore powered on (IP) VMs' options do not function. Powered-on VMs are still selected. |
| 48260 | Desktop login may not complete in a Master Pool that contains pools configured with different domain names. A single domain is supported for authentication across all pools in a Master Pool. |
| 48237 | Existing desktop pools cannot be associated with a Master Pool after creation. The association is only available at pool creation time and cannot be changed afterward. |
| 48215 | In some cases, duplicate client entries for the same user may result in multiple desktop assignments from the same pool. |
| 24000 | The latest VM scale booster v3.4.0.80 is incompatible with older versions of HyWorks controllers (v3.3-R3(13832) or lower). |
| 23963 | If the Desktop Agent service is restarted during a recording session, the recorded file may become corrupted and fail to upload. |
| 23823 | The HyWorks Desktop agent cannot process users whose usernames contain Japanese characters, and the session logs out. |
| 22385 | When DVM Tools are upgraded/repaired, the built-in USB redirection driver is uninstalled and reinstalled, requiring a reboot. |
| 22027 | Upgrading the DVM tools may fail, or replacing the new binaries of integrated components, e.g., AUEM and recording modules, may fail when the upgrade is performed during a running session. Recommendations: Upgrades should be performed when no sessions are running on the VM. |
| 18844 | The DVM Tools installer briefly enters a non-responsive state during uninstallation. |
| 18102 | The VM Scale booster logs show the customization status as 'not initiated' even when the customization option is disabled. |
| 12906 | DVM Tools continues to receive upgrades even when it fails on the desktop end. |
| 7292 | HyPrep logs may not have appropriate logs for the following failures, which may be leading to faster resolution of problems: 1. The domain joining user does not have adequate permissions to join the machine to the domain. 2. The domain mentioned is not correct. |
| 7289 | HyPrep does not change the SIDs on customization. Workaround: Use Sysprep if the SID needs to be changed. |
| 7288 | HyPrep does not change locale and time zone. Workaround: Use Sysprep if the SID needs to be changed. |
| 7105 | Sysprep fails after you remove or update Microsoft Store apps that are included in built-in Windows images. Reference: [Sysprep fails with Microsoft Store apps - Windows Client. |
| 536 | The USB cleaner utility attempts to remove system devices but fails due to permissions. |

- Affected Operating System: Windows 11 25H2 with Windows update KB5067036
-
Root cause: This occurs due to a conflict with the built-in USB redirection driver.
-
Workaround: Uninstall the Built-in (Eltima) USB Redirection Driver (v10.0.2520.0) module installed with DVM tools version 3.4 if not required.
-
