Overview

This document provides the release notes for HyWorks v4.1 Hotfix 2 (Cumulative Release that includes changes from HF1 and HF1.2), covering new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

Important

  • HyWorks v4.1 HF2 is a cumulative release including all HF1 and HF1.2 changes.

  • Currently Open Issue with Nutanix APIv4: Clone from snapshot feature does not work correctly with APIv4 (this issue is pre-existing with HyWorks v4.0).

    • Clone from snapshot (recovery point) with Nutanix Connector APIv4 does not use the selected recovery point and instead directly clones from the current VM state.

    • This issue has been identified in the Nutanix APIv4 and not in HyWorks. To mitigate this issue, APIv4.2 is integrated (Available from Nutanix PC v7.3).

  • Currently Open Issue with Nutanix APIv4.2: APIv4.2 supports the Clone from snapshot feature, but it does not provide an option to preserve the MAC. Again, this is identified as a problem with Nutanix API v4.2.

    • To use MAC preserve, cloning must be done directly via the source VM instead of cloning from a snapshot.

  • For this release, these features are disabled as per the configured API version and Nutanix Sub-type. The hotfix for these issue(s) will be released soon.

Upgrade Compatibility

  • The v4.1-Hotfix2 patch can be applied to HyWorks Controllers running v4.1.0.23929 or v4.1.0.23929 with HF1/HF1.2.
