Accessing HyLabs Portal

As HyLabs is delivered through HyLite, a HySecure server compatible with the latest HyLabs must be installed and configured to deliver HyLabs.

Assuming that HyWorks is correctly configured in the HySecure Server. Follow the steps below to log in to the HyLabs Admin Portal:

Log in as Reservation (HyLabs) Admin

HyWorks super administrators do not have access to the HyLabs console; therefore, all management must be performed by the reservation admin user.

Log in from the HySecure Portal

  1. Enter the HySecure URL to access the HyLite login page, then provide your login credentials.

  2. Upon successful login to HySecure, user credentials are forwarded to HyWorks, which verifies the user's authorization. If the user's role is identified as reservation admin, the HyLabs interface (Reservation Admin) is presented.

Login from the HyWorks Controller Management Console

  1. Browse https://Controller-IP or Hostname:, e.g., https://192.168.1.2/, to access the HyWorks management console.

  2. Click the link Go to HyLabs Portal to open the HyLabs console.

  3. Provide the username and password, select the language and Organization, and click Login. If the user does not have Reservation Admin rights, then the authorization error will be displayed.

After a successful login, the Reservation Admin can use HyLabs screens to create and update HyLabs objects.

Timezone

Earlier than v3.6, HyLabs did not support multiple time zones. With the v3.6 release, timezone support was added.

  • After the user logs in, the time zone is automatically detected and displayed at the top. Users can change it if needed, and the selected time zone is remembered for subsequent logins.

  • When creating reservations, users schedule them using their local system time. HyLabs processes the reservation so that execution occurs according to the saved schedule in the selected time zone.

Accessing HyLabs Portal with Other Roles

The login method remains the same as described above for all HyLabs users; however, the portal view and permissions for the objects displayed will vary based on the user's assigned role.

  • Reservation admin can view all types of configurations and objects on the HyLabs portal.

  • An in-charge or assistant will have limited administrative access.

  • Participants will not have any administrative access, but will have an end-user-appropriate user interface.
