Internet Block

To block internet access, an ACL (Access Control List) can be configured for users logging in from a Mac endpoint. As a result, once a user logs in, they will not be able to access the internet unless they are connected to the Gateway.

A list of local and/or internet IP addresses or subnets can be specified to bypass the Block Internet policy.

Configuration for Internet Block

To block Internet access on a Mac endpoint, create an ACL with "Internet block" enabled on the HySecure gateway.

Below are the steps to create the Internet block ACL:

  1. Log in to the Management Console.

  2. Navigate to Policies > ACL tab.

  3. Now, create an ACL Endpoint Protection for users with Internet block.

  4. When an ACL for Internet Block is created, the added user will not be able to access the Internet upon logging into the client.

  5. To allow internet access for exception websites, the admin needs to add the IP address or hostname to the bypass list.

    • To configure the bypass list in the client profile, follow the steps listed below:

      • Navigate to Policies > Client Profiles.

      • Select the Default configuration and click on modify.

      • Access the profile configurations and enable the bypass list by entering the hostname and IP address.
