Create VDI Master Image in HyWorks¶
Overview¶
A Master Image is a fully configured Windows VM that HyWorks uses as the template to provision VDI desktops. Prepare the image carefully — every cloned desktop inherits it.
What to install on the master image¶
- Windows OS (Server 2019/2022 for SHD; Windows 10/11 for personal VDI)
- Accops HyWorks DVM Tools (mandatory)
- All standard applications (Office, browser, line-of-business apps)
- Latest Windows Updates
- Sysprep — do not run Sysprep; HyWorks handles this during clone
Warning
Do not domain-join the master image before cloning. HyWorks joins clones to the domain automatically during provisioning.
