Pre-Launch Testing Checklist¶

Run through this checklist with a pilot user (not an admin) before opening the portal to the full user base.

Interactive Checklist — Print When Done

Click each checkbox upon completion. Progress is saved in the browser and persists across page reloads. Once all checks are green, press Ctrl+P (Windows) or Cmd+P (Mac) to print the page as a sign-off record.

HySecure gateway¶

HySecure portal URL loads over HTTPS with a valid certificate (no browser warnings)
AD user can log in; MFA OTP/push is delivered successfully
EPS policy fires for a non-compliant device (blocks or restricts appropriately)
Account lockout triggers after the configured number of failed attempts
Self-service password reset and account unlock work from the portal

HyWorks desktop delivery¶

Desktop pool appears in the portal after login
Desktop session launches successfully (SHD or VDI)
Display resolution and colour depth are correct
Audio plays inside the session (in and out)
Clipboard policy is enforced (copy-paste restricted/allowed as configured)
Drive mapping works if configured in Connection Profile
DVM Tools tray icon is visible inside the virtual desktop

Integration validation¶

HyWorks desktops are accessible through HySecure (not by direct bypass)
Session recording captures a test session (if Session Recording is enabled)
Watermark appears on screen if configured

Operations readiness¶

Backup job runs and produces a valid restore point
Syslog is receiving events from both HySecure and HyWorks
Admin portal access is restricted to authorised admins only

Pilot group

Run the pilot with 5–10 users from different AD groups and device types (Windows, Mac, Linux, mobile) before full rollout.
